This is a fantastic piece about Joe Paterno. Somehow, after all of these years, Joe Posnanski (who I contend is the best sportswriter working today) manages to find a new light on everything that the man has been through. The focus on the last ten years is fascinating, too. Take 15 minutes and read this. You'll be glad you did.

Great article. Nice find!

As a Hawkeye fan I’ve especially treasured our record against Penn St because of how good of a program they are and the amount of respect I have for Joe Paterno.

Exactly

Iowa has won 6 of 8 against Wisconsin. That’s great, and that is an accomplishment. But those wins didn’t come against Joe Paterno, the winningest coach of all time. That’s why the almost silly success that Iowa has had against Penn State this decade is so special.
