Drew Brees, Super Bowl MVP
Make that two Big Ten MVP's in a row. Mr. Brees proved what we already knew - Give the former Boilermaker time to throw from a shotgun set and he.will.eat.your.soul. Been doing it for years, why stop now?
Extra points to Drew for being a standup guy and putting sound-blocking ear muffs on his kid.

Big Ten Represented well
Three former Big Ten boys had the biggets impact on the Superbowl. Former Badger Casillas got the onside kick, Porter with the big pick and of course Brees. That is pretty damn good for a slow, weak football conference.

Could add
that Pierre Thomas (Illinois) and Dallas Clark (Iowa) had very good games as well.

I could be wrong
But I think 4 of the last 10 Superbowl MVPs have been Big Ten ( Brady won it twice)

Don't forget hoosier alum Courtney Roby, who set the pace on special teams
Also, Jim Caldwell was a Hawkeye in college.
Drew Brees took Brady’s record for most completions in a super bowl.

I think they tied
Still pretty damn good.
Imagine the difference Marlin Jackson (Michigan) and Bob Sanders (Iowa) would have made in the Colts Secondary. Who am I kidding. It was fantastic to see Brees with the Lombardi Trophy in one hand and his son in the other.
A futile crusade to prevent mass ignorance
